SC.GMIS Awards Program 2009
The awards program for SCGMIS consists of several components, designed to recognize outstanding contributions to the mission of SCGMIS as well as identify creative solutions in utilizing and maximizing information technology resources.
There are four chapter awards, nominated by members of the Awards Subcommittee and approved by the SC.GMIS Executive Board. These include the "Ambassador", "Champions", and "Prestigious Partner" awards. A fourth award, known as the "President’s" Award, is presented to a deserving board member who is selected by the President.

These awards above will be presented at the SC.GMIS annual conference along with a commemorative plaque recognizing the agencies’ efforts and distinction.
An additional award, known as "Elite Achievers" recognizes significant achievements in implementing technology solutions; this award class involves an application process by the member agency. The subcommittee will also contact key users of the system or technology to get their opinion on success of the technology. Subcommittee will vote on the top three applications per award category with final selection of the winning project determined by the vote.
